ID: I5 Title: Temple “C”, Selinunte, Italy.

Chronology of intervention:
-1920: Irreversible consolidation done by Francesco Valenti;
-1925- 1927: 13 columns in the northern side stood up; done by Jole Bovio Marconi;
-2002: Reversible consolidation.
Type of Intervention:
-1920: Structural consolidation.
-1925-1927: Starting up of the columns collapsed during an earthquake; the purpose was to guarantee a "correct reading" of the monument.
-2002: Structural Consolidation.

Description of the Interventions:
-1920:
The iron elements, introduced inside of the capital, produced a harmful “shear” effect.
-1925-1927:
Jole Bovio Marconi drives the standing up of the 13 columns of the Northern side and the assemblage of part of the girder.
-2002:
Reversible consolidation with external provisional techniques. The interventions hoopings with adjustable tension provides a great reversibility and a visual control.
